SPECIMEN PROCESSING and HANDLING

Complete clot formation should take place before centrifugation. Serum or plasma should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection.

TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE

Samples should be kept at 4 °C and analyzed within 24 hours. Samples can be stored refrigerated for up to 7 days. For longer storage, samples may be frozen at -20 °C for up to 3 months or many years at -70 °C
