Specimen Volume: 1.0 mL
SPECIMEN PROCESSING and HANDLING
Serum or plasma should be separated from the cells if analysis is not performed within 2 hours of collection.
TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE
Once separated, lithium is stable for at least 24 hours at room temperature, 7 days if refrigerated at 4 °C. For longer storage, samples may be frozen at -18 °C for at least 6 months.
