Transport whole blood at room temperature if draw to analyze time is expected to be less than 4 hours. If greater than 4 hours, centrifuge immediately. Transfer plasma to aliquot tube and centrifuge plasma again. Transfer double-spun plasma to aliquot tube and sent to lab frozen.
