Acceptable: Serum
Specimen Volume: 1.0 mL

SPECIMEN PROCESSING and HANDLING

Complete clot formation should take place before centrifugation. Serum or plasma should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible with a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection.

TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE

Specimens are stable for < 1 day at 18-25 °C, <14 days at 2 – 8 °C. For longer storage, specimens may be frozen at -20 °C or colder for < 14days.
