Specimen Requirements

Collect:  Lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA)

Specimen Preparation:  Separate plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection.  Transfer 6ml plasma to transport tube and freeze immediately

Minimum Volume:  2.5ml

Stability:  After separation from cells:  Ambient:  2 hours;  Refrigerated:  Unacceptable;  Frozen:  1 month
