Interpretive Data:

6 a.m. - 10 a.m. reference interval: 6.0-18.4 µg/dL
4 p.m. - 8 p.m. reference interval: 2.7-10.5 µg/dL
8 hrs post 1 mg dexamethasone given at midnight: 0.0 - 5.0 µg/dL
Normal peak serum cortisol is greater than 18.0 µg/dL at 30 or 60 minutes after 250 micrograms of cosyntropin I.V.
